Codified Magic

J2RCode was founded as a passion project to explore the new horizons of technology and build a bridge between the physical and digital worlds.

Our primary focus is to design and implement unique, dynamic solutions in an era of ever-increasing technological dependence. Whether you are looking for a highly reliable safety and medical hardware solution (J2Recover), or an immersive, interactive Augmented Reality experience deployed on a sticker (J2ARCode), we provide the architecture.

"To provide digital experiences aimed at promoting curiosity in users through innovative website and application design. We create codified magic at a competitive price."

The Minds Behind J2RCode

J2RCode (formerly J Squared Digital Softworks) was founded by brothers Joshua Nichols and Jared Saizdelamora.

Jared Saizdelamora

Originating from a non-traditional background in coding and development via non-profit and youth outreach work, Jared has maintained a dedication to developing world-positive solutions to modern problems.

He has taught classes and given lectures on technology's place in education. For the last decade, he has worked as operative IT support for companies including Microsoft, Caterpillar, Levi's, and Nintendo of America. He is currently A+ certified, and continues to freelance as an independent game developer.

AR Pioneer: Jared has been working with Augmented Reality technology for over 15 years, collaborating with famous institutions like Vassar College and prominent artists like Amir Baradaran to reinterpret overlooked spaces using AR and VR mediums.

Joshua Nichols

Even in his early days, Joshua was captivated by the nature of numbers and puzzles. Despite meager technological educational opportunities, he started developing and creating games at age 14.

He has continued to expand his development repertoire to include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Python, and the full stack development process, alongside forays into virtual reality, AI, and edu-tainment. Joshua is currently completing the second half of his A+ certification.

He also has a lifelong love of the ocean, having worked as a professional deep-sea fisherman in the fecund waters of Murrell’s Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean for the past 15 years. Joshua constantly strives to test the limits of what he is capable of, both on the ocean and in the greater design and development arena.

Platform Manual

Learn how to manage your codes, design physical hardware, and build immersive AR scenes.

1. Managing Your J2RCodes (Safety & Recovery)

If you purchased a standard J2RCode or a preconfigured hardware item (like a Wallet Card or Pet Tag), you can manage its behavior from your Dashboard.

1 Access Your Profile: Navigate to the Dashboard and click "Update Profile" next to your code.

2 Configure Contacts: Add up to 5 emergency contacts. If your tier supports it, enable the Twilio Anonymous Call Bridge so finders can contact you without seeing your real phone number.

3 Custom Redirects: Don't need a safety profile? You can set your J2RCode to instantly redirect scanners to your personal website or portfolio.

2. Designing Physical Hardware

You can print any digital code you own onto physical acrylic and aluminum media using our custom web-to-print engine.

1 Launch the Editor: Click "Order Print" next to your code in the Dashboard.

2 Design the Canvas: Use the left toolbar to select your material (e.g., Red Anodized, Black Minimalist). Add text, shapes, and safety symbols.

3 The Smart Glyph: Your unique QR/AR glyph is automatically embedded into the design. Do not delete it; simply position it where you want it engraved.

3. Building J2AR Experiences

For creators using the J2ARCode, our 3D node-based editor allows you to build immersive scenes that track directly to your physical prints.

1 Launch AR Editor: Click "Edit AR Scene" in your Dashboard.

2 Add Widgets: Use the Toolbox to inject Text, 3D Models, Images, or Video Planes into the scene.

3 Transform & Link: Use the 3D viewport (W/E/R keys) to position your assets relative to the center marker. Use the Inspector on the right to add custom URLs or interactivity to buttons.

4 Save & Scan: Click "Save Scene". The next time someone scans your physical J2ARCode, your widgets will appear locked to the physical item in real-time.
Moderation Notice: All user-generated AR scenes are subject to our Terms of Service. Scanners can report inappropriate content, which will temporarily blur media and mute audio pending admin review.
